I live in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, US. I grew up in this area, left for schooling, and returned. My four children and husband often inspire aspects of the characters in my story. We live on a small hobby homestead, raising chickens and other fowl as well as dogs. We have several lazy cats, as well. Living rurally means that it's not unusual to have deer, bears, foxes, mischievous chipmunks and any number of wildlife around.
